Multiple sclerosis is a demyelinating disorder of the brain and spinal cord. Common symptoms include ocular abnormalities, paresthesias, weakness, spasticity, urinary dysfunction, and mild cognitive impairment. Diagnosis requires clinical or MRI evidence of ≥ 2 characteristic lesions that are separated in time and space. Treatment includes corticosteroids, immunomodulatory drugs, and supportive measures.
