Neurologic abnormalities:
- Asymmetry of facial expression is noted with deviation of the muzzle to the right, indicating paralysis of the left facial nerve (CN VII). No other cranial nerve deficits observed.
- Hindlimb ataxia and weakness apparent with tail pull test, walking up and down curbs, and turning in a circle
- Proprioceptive deficits of hindlimbs on placing tests, slow response to uncross legs
- Knuckling at fetlocks of hindlimbs
- Poor tail and anal tone
- Urinary incontinence
