Results of initial testing are shown:

Complete blood count: Within normal limits

Blood chemistry profile: Within normal limits

Urinalysis: Within normal limits

    Neurologic abnormalities:
  • Asymmetry of facial expression is noted with deviation of the muzzle to the right, indicating paralysis of the left facial nerve (CN VII). No other cranial nerve deficits observed.
  • Hindlimb ataxia and weakness apparent with tail pull test, walking up and down curbs, and turning in a circle
  • Proprioceptive deficits of hindlimbs on placing tests, slow response to uncross legs
  • Knuckling at fetlocks of hindlimbs
  • Poor tail and anal tone
  • Urinary incontinence
