Vitamin E and Selenium: Within normal limits
IgM against arboviruses: Negative
EPM serology: Ratio of serum:CSF titers was >100, which does not correlate with an EPM diagnosis. Additionally, the serum:CSF albumin concentration was <1, also ruling out an EPM diagnosis.
PCR testing for EHV-1 non-neuropathic genotype in blood and nasal swabs was negative.
Same tests for neuropathic genotype showed moderate viral load, suggestive but not definitive for EHV-1 as the cause of disease.
